Since co‑founding Sherpa in 2010, Rahul has been directly involved in loan origination, underwriting, and credit decision‑making, with a particular focus on structuring transactions and driving deals through execution and closing. He works closely with borrowers, and legal counsel to ensure efficient execution while maintaining disciplined underwriting standards.

Prior to Sherpa, Rahul founded a mortgage banking company and originated over $500 million in residential and small‑balance commercial loans. Earlier in his career, he held transaction advisory and management roles at Arthur Andersen and other organizations, advising on complex transactions across multiple industries.

Rahul is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, with a concentration in Finance, from the University of Illinois at Urbana‑Champaign (1996).

Ashish’s focus at Sherpa Capital Group is to originate and structure loans which helps Borrowers with their liquidity needs.

With more than 25 years in real estate lending, Ashish has been involved in the originating, structuring, underwriting, and closing of more than $2 billion of commercial real estate transactions across all property types.  Before co-founding Sherpa Capital Group, he worked at various lending institutions, originating and structuring various types of real estate loans.  

Ashish received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Purdue University (1995).
